2026 Amador County Association of REALTORS® Scholarship Recipient is:
Lillian Eppler-Delap

Lillian’s interest in healthcare began when she started going to the hospital for her own health related symptoms/issues. She remembers talking to a nurse at one of her visits about how everything worked and became instantly interested in it all. By understanding how it all worked, it helped her realize that healthcare doesn’t always have to be scary experience as a patient. It made her want to be someone who can also help others find interest in their visits rather than be annoyed or scared by the frequent visits. Her experiences helped her develop resilience, empathy, and patience especially but not limited to the healthcare work environment. Over time, she began to see her situation differently by becoming more grateful for the life that she has rather than the life that she could have. This growth has made her stronger and more understanding of others facing similar struggles.
Lillian has worked in the hospital under the Medical Terminology ROP program through Amador High School. She plans to study nursing. Lillian is enrolled at Columbia College in Sonora, Ca where she plans to get all of her pre-requisites completed within the next 2 years. Then transfer to a 4-year College (Sac. State) to complete the Nursing Program. Her goal is to become a Registered Nurse and hopefully work in departments such as the ER (with a trauma center), Labor & Delivery, and the ICU. Lillian hopes to develop skills such as clear communication, critical thinking and compassion. In the future, she hopes to work well with her patients and help them feel seen and understood.
